About Luc
I have a passion for languages and the world around us that helps to facilitate tutoring to a level that you don't find easily.
I got started teaching by tutoring younger family members in French, before ultimately helping a close friend vastly improve his proficiency in French. In return, he taught me some tips while coaching me in my Spanish, all of which I hope to apply in my lessons!
I mainly tutor people learning French and Spanish, each languages that I have significant proficiency in.
For the former, I am a French national who lived in the country for several years, grew up speaking the language, and have earned perfect scores on every placement test I've ever taken in the language, including the AP French exam and at the collegiate level.
In Spanish, I have studied the language for 8 years, earned a 5 on the AP Spanish exam, and have practiced the language on a regular basis in the last few years, travelling to several countries in Latin America. It is also the language that I have studied the most in a formal academic setting.
I am also happy to tutor people learning English as a second language, or to help people brush up their writing in English, particularly when it comes to essays at the secondary level.

It is vital that students don't get more of the one-size-fits-all mentality they're often coming from in their schools, and that I provide a service that is truly catered to their specific needs.

At the moment, my time is priced at a flat rate of $25 per hour. This rate can go up and down; if you commit to repeated lessons it can be negotiable, but please be aware that if demand proves strong, then it may increase. Payment is acceptable only by Venmo, do not ask to pay by check.
