About Louella
I love to teach and help my students, young adults, and parents achieve the love of learning, but sometimes it does not come easy in a traditional classroom setting. That is where a small group or one on one tutorial setting is a great choice. I have had great success with my tutorial service. My students have gained the knowledge that they needed to become on grade level. With hard work and working together we can achieve this.
I am an educator with 19 years experience. I am certified Pre-kindergarten through 5th grade- all subject areas; 4th grade through 8th grade in English Language Arts and Social Sciences , Gifted in all subject areas, Pre-kindergarten -12th grade and ESOL Endorsed in K-12, all subject areas.
If your child, you, or you know someone that needs extra support or you just do not want your child to lose what they have gained so far this school year give me a try. We will have fun while learning and continue learning while having fun. Thanks in advance.

I love to see the spark in the eyes of my students when they finally understand or get something that I have been teaching them, or something that they have been struggling with and they finally understand the concept. I enjoy molding young minds, I love going to work and seeing all my babies eager to want to learn to read, do math, science, just want to learn, because they are having 😋 FUN!
I had a 7th and 8th grade English Language/Math teacher who was also my homeroom teacher who touched my life and inspired me to always be me. He helped me to see life was great and that there were people and teachers that care about their students and he instilled the love of reading and writing in me. So in 1988 I decided I wanted to be a teacher. I graduated in 1997 with my BS in Elementary Education, in 2005 Graduated with my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Technology. I have been teaching since 1999 full time.

The first thing we do is talk about what their favorite things are, this helps me get to know them better. I do a pre-assessment to see just where they are, so we are not going over what they know. I take the time to listen to the concerns of what they want to accomplish. Why they need the help, what is hard for them, what comes easy, then I can come up with an individual tutorial plan for them, or ITP.
I have taught grades,; 6th and 7th grade basic math, geometry, Algebra I, 8th grade ESOL Language Arts, second grade 1 year, 6 Yeats kindergarten, 7 years first grade, and now going on my 5th year in Pre-kindergarten. WOW 😮 almost 20 years under my belt.
Tell them what you are looking for. Explain your strengths and weaknesses. Tell them what and when you need to accomplish your goals.
My class just finished our pumpkin unit, we dissected the pumpkin, we removed the pulp, and seeds. We counted them, put them in groups of 10, then in groups of 25, and then in groups of 100. We weighed the pumpkins before and after and then compared the difference. We roasted the pumpkin seeds we had salted AND Brown sugar, most of the students liked the salted, I know 😉✨✨ it surprised us also. We measured all 4 pumpkins around using a measuring tape and then linking chains. We then compared the chains to see which pumpkin was the biggest around. We then read the story The Biggest Pumpkin Ever, and we finshed our unit on Pumpkins by putting the life cycle in order. They then wrote and drew in their own journals. 🥧🥧
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What they need, when they need their goals met. Think through what they want to accomplish and what they need to accomplish it.
