About Ashton
Hey everyone! My name is Ashton Bilger, and I am a 19 year old veteran pianist (13 years) and drummer (8 years) that can teach you anything you want to know. And the best part about my crash course is YOU get to choose what you learn, rather than going by a boring schedule that nobody really wants to learn.
I offer the following services:
- Piano lessons of your choice, mainly preferred off of emotional music and learn how to strike emotion through the heart of piano music
- Drum lessons of your choice, mainly preferred off of percussion and rudimental practice such as drumline, front ensemble and orchestral percussion.
- Music theory lessons of your choice, includes song composition as well as notation

The process of start to finish:
1- Schedule a compromisable date for the lesson to host
2- The student can choose which type of lesson they would like to learn, (1 of 3 or more)
3- The lesson organizationally would look like this if not custom chosen by the student:
+ Piano lessons (1 hour)
- (First 10 mins.) Introduction, Evaluation of skill, if already had been a student, Recap on previous lesson
- (10 - 30 mins.) Look at the general techniques used and notes played to determine a more effective approach for improvement
- (30 - 50 mins.) Dive into really small and specific techniques that could potentially help the bigger picture of the piece that is being played and how it is perceived
- (Last 10 mins.) Wrap-Up and review over the overall lesson and perform skills. Also prepare for schedule of next lesson if chosen to do so
+ Drum Lessons (1 hour)
- (First 10 mins.) Introduction, Evaluation of skill, if already had been a student, Recap on previous lesson
- (10 - 30 mins.) Focus on the stick heights, dynamics, velocity, and motion within the fingers, wrist, and arm to be used in a warm-up exercise to improve both matched and traditional grip
- (30 - 50 mins.) Use the techniques given to show sheet music and how to read and analyze dynamics and rhythm movement. (Sheet Music is chosen depending on the style the student chooses)
- (Last 10 mins.) Wrap-Up and review over the overall lesson and perform skills. Also prepare for schedule of next lesson if chosen to do so
+ Music Theory Lessons
- (First 10 mins.) Introduction, Evaluation of skill, if already had been a student, Recap on previous lesson
- (10 - 30 mins.) Study on the individual note pitch and analyzing the different notes and rhythms within a song and translating into the students own version
- (30 - 50 mins.) Learning the different instrumentation on music composition and the difference in sound of whats appropriate to be used and whats not
- (Last 10 mins.) Wrap-Up and review over the overall lesson. Also prepare for schedule of next lesson if chosen to do so
