About Ken
I've been a life-long fitness enthusiast, with experience as a collegiate wrestler, Olympic-style race walking, and weight training. I'm an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer. I moved from Michigan to St. Petersburg, FL to help in the rehabilitation of my father-in-law after he suffered a stroke. I'm excited to help people of all ages acquire a healthy and active lifestyle.
I enjoy helping people discover the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Whether they need motivation to move, to discuss basic nutrition, or need an outline of an exercise program, I'm excited to help people feel better and enjoy a longer and healthier life.
I received a BA in history/coaching from Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, MI. I was a high school wrestling head coach at Sterling Heights High School in Sterling Heights, MI and an assistant wrestling coach at Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Township, MI. I was a member of the three man USATF National Championship 40K Race Walking Team 2000, 2001 and 2003. I placed third in the race walking category in the 2000 Detroit Marathon.

I inquire on the health and fitness goals of each client. Each client is required to sign a waiver. I provide a program of cardio and weight training that meets the goals and time commitment as described by the client. There's a weekly review of accomplishments and challenges for accountability.
