The business represents a partnership that allows my co-founder and I to focus on what we excel at as individuals while relying on one another to keep all bases covered. Where my colleague has the academic and practical experience of medical and commercial settings in nutrition consulting and technical programming, I hold clinical and on the job expertise in rehabilitation science and resistance training. I first started coaching friends and relatives in my parents garage and outdoors while I was in highschool. This eventually evolved into coaching friends and acquantances at different fitness facilities. With this training experience I decided to pursue an alternatie route working for a physical therapy company based out of the midwest. This opportunity provided me with the chance to travel to a multitude of different clinics and work under dozens of clinicians that all made their own personal and educational mark on my journey in the fitness and rehabilitation world. After this, I moed to Hawaii with my wife and started training out of the premier island gym, Honolulu Club. This location gave me the skillset necessary to excel at building client relationships along with improing their overall health and fitness. I am now based in the Perdido Key area where I work as a trainer for the miitary while training clients out of my own personal gym.
A certified personal traininer and corrective exercise specialist through NASM, three years of experience as a Physical Therapy aid in several out patient clinic settings, and +10 years of experience coaching people in a commerical setting. All of this professional experience supplemented with a lifetime of competing in strength sports such as powerlifting and highland games.

First thing's first is getting to run through a complimentary initial assessment with the client. This allows me to get a feel for the clients strengths, weaknesses, and generally how effectively they move their as well as establish a relationship with the new clients. After the assessment, I am able to best tailor a workout program for the athletes needs and goals. This can be some variation of in person training sessions and programmed remote coaching that the client will use to workout on their own, with the assisstance of video coaching.
I have worked with special needs rehabilitation patients, stay at home mothers, middle aged adult with no gym experience, military populations, black belts in brazilian jiu jitsu, celebrities, Division 1 athletes and everything inbetween. I take great joy in teaching people with little to no experience develop their athleticism and make progress they never thought possible.
Think of as many questions as you can ask then ask them, and be willing to learn from every interaction. A good teacher will know how to explain why what they're doing will yield optimal results without needing to overcomplicate it with jargon.
