About Sam
A little bit about me... I am a young and passionate personal trainer in the Newtown Square area. I graduated with an Exercise Science Kinesiology Degree from the School of Health Sciences at West Chester Univesity in May of 2016. With expeirence in physical therapy, exercise rehabilitation, sports performance, weight loss, and strength and conditioning for the general population I have developed a very well rounded skill set as a trainer. I have worked with a wide variety of trainees from special needs children to division 1 college athletes to 85 year old women, and each experience has offered me the opportunity to learn something new. Being a personal trainer you must constantly be learning because science is always changing. An old school trainer is a lazy trainer who refuses to change their ways and learn the most current information. I am not a lazy trainer, I will get you results.

When a new trainee is considering coming on board and training with me I initially speak with them on the phone and gather as much information from them as possible. I try to paint myself a picture of what exercise experience they have, past or present injuries they may have, anything that will help me to be as prepared as possible for when we do meet in person. I also try to get to know them as a person and allow them to get to know me. Results are very dependent on relationships. Following our phone conversation I would have them in for a FREE trial workout and assess their movement and current physical condition. I would take them through a quick workout in order to give them a taste of my training style and ensure that I am the right fit.
Ask for credentials. The biggest or most in shape person in the gym may be the least qualified person to help.
