About Maru
I love what I do. I work with clients in establishing clear and attainable fitness goals and then, I create a plan on how to get there. I feel that if this process is thorough and detailed, then clients will stick to the routine and build discipline.

I enjoy the whole process of creating a plan together and seeing little by little how clients get rewarded with the results. And how happy they get based solely on their efforts!
I always trained, danced and led a healthy and active lifestyle. I studied all different types of dance and went on stage at theaters several times. After 10 years as a Marketing and Public Relations/ Corporate Executive, I had two kids and decided to change my career into something that I also loved and could still give me time to be with my children as well. That is how I got certified and started to train individuals.
I am a CPT with additional certifications on Pilates, Ballet Barre, TRX and Strength & Conditioning. I am a former dancer and gymnast.

I like to meet and discuss his/her fitness goals, create an achievable and realistic work plan and get to work!
I assess clients physical condition and levels. I elaborate a customized plan based on what is needed. I inform clients about nutrition and exercise plan details.
All ages, men and women. From teenagers (15-18) teaching them the foundations of weightlifting, to men and women who either had never worked out in their lives or accomplished athletes. I have also worked with individuals who have/had injuries so modifications are provided, Post-partum new moms, marathon runners, men in their 20s who look for conditioning training, etc.
It is important to know what exactly your fitness goals are, so spend some time on defining them. Be clear and specific in telling them to your possible trainer.
Also, you have to feel free in asking any/all the questions to your trainer, and feel that you can trust his/her answers. Ask for references of previous clients.
There are going to be several trainers coming your way, from different prices and backgrounds. Spend time talking to them to decided who you are going to be comfortable with in the long term. After all, you will be spending a one-on-one private time for several hours in the week so you might as well feel happy with whoever you pick.
During COVID, I only worked outdoors with all my clients. One day, it was so hot, she asked if we could work out that day in the pool. I said Of course! and my new Water Bootcamp was born! I mixed elements of Barre, Strength Training and plyometrics. It is such a popular workout now!! Injury-free, refreshing, fun!! Everyone loves it!!
