About Emily
Hi, I'm Emily! I am a HAES®-aligned, non-diet certified personal trainer with a specialization in women’s fitness. I work with girls, teens, and women to heal relationships with their bodies and movement, whether recovering from and eating disorder and exercise dependency, or healing from a lifetime of the diet and fitness industries influencing and dictating how we move.
During college I developed my own struggles with body image issues, over-exercising, and disordered eating. During that time I was very caught up in diet culture and decided to work toward becoming a personal trainer. Throughout my studies to become a personal trainer, my disordered habits continued on. While trying to grow my business, I was partnering with different dietitians in the area and was referred some clients who were in the recovery stages of their disordered eating. I dove into how movement could be a part of the eating disorder recovery process and found not only my true passion, but my way to a healed relationship with food and movement in the process.
I am a NASM certified personal trainer. I have a specialization in women's fitness as well as youth fitness.

We will start off with a quick consultation call, this will give us a good opportunity to see if we are a good fit. From there, you will decide how frequently you would like to have sessions throughout the week and we will get scheduled!
Our first few sessions will be focused around finding what movement feels good for your body. We typically start with bodyweight movements to reconnect with your body through movement. From there, we will focus on joyful movement while also working toward your goals whether they be to increase strength or endurance, or simply find that joy in movement again.
I work with girls and women starting from age 12. Most of my clients are in recovery or recently recovered from disordered eating and over exercising. I do not work with weight loss or goals surrounding intentional change in body composition.
