About Sam
I am a DPT student with a BS in Exercise Physiology and I have experience in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitaiton facilities. I am proficient in a variety of fields such as anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, medical terminology, and more.
My twin brother is a tutor and he inspired me to get started. Plus, teaching other people helps me to keep my information fresh!
I have a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology that includes an extensive course load in the science and math realm. I have been a competitive powerlifter for 3+ years. I am currently a Doctor of Physical Thearapy student at Boston Unviersity and I work at an inpatient rehabilitation facility working with Physcial Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

I typically like to get to know the student a bit and what styles of learning work best and what forms of communication they prefer. It can be hard to establish a relationship with someone new so hitting these super important questions right off the bat is a good thing! Also I'm down to just have a conversation about anything:)
All types and all abilities.
I would ask students to do their research, ask questions and make sure their tutor is a right fit for them! We don't want to get weeks into a relationship only to find out that its more frustrating than before for the student.
I recently helped a patient who had lost a limb due to cardiac arrest walk for the first time with his new prosthesis and his family was able to see it in person (a win during the pandemic) and it was truly heart warming. Not a dry eye in sight.
