Experienced tutor in Painting in Englewood, Rita offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

In addition to being a very creative artist herself, Rita encourages creativity in her students. She teaches techniques, then sets us loose and inspires us to find our own styles and have confidence in what we do.

Rita is a vibrant versatile painting teacher. She considers the personal directions of each student and offers challenges on many dimensions for the beginning and more advanced painter. She creates a stimulating and collegial atmosphere in her classes and brings joy to the struggle and satisfaction of making art.

Rita explains concepts and talks about techniques prior to each class. Often a short talk about a specific artist is included. Work is independent during class, with suggestions and help always available. Class ends with a positive feedback session on the work done that day.

Rita encourages artists to follow their own paths.

Rita is an amazing teacher and artist. All her classes are awesome.

Rita has the unique ability to convey the technical aspects of how she executed her artwork as well as guiding the artist to seek deeply into one’s self and release the creative energy. Rita’s strong discipline to her work encourages the novice to never give up and demonstrates how some of her works went from messed-up to masters. When the facilities are indoors she has provided refreshments to share. Her 3-day
classes are intensive with the opportunity to get totally immersed in creativity. I love her classes.

I have benefitted from many of Rita's art classes & workshops over almost 4 decades ... her teaching style is concise, exploratory & fun. Rita's lessons integrate freedom, structure, history & perspective ... I always come away inspired & pleased with my art!

I’ve learned so much in Rita’s painting classes.
