About Edith Mary

I have been teaching art/crafts to adults for almost 20 years & love helping people to connect with their artsy side. We create, learn & grown together through acrylics, watercolor and more.

As a self-taught, working artist sharing skills and getting the creative juices flowing is important for the instructor as well as the students. The free flow of ideas creates joy, openness, promotes friendships & increases everyone's abilities.

My facebook art page is: Fine Art & Foolery-yard sale do-overs

I started teaching crafts at Joann's etc., and Michaels.  I also teach at a local senior center and just loved it watching people learn and create.  I

I am completely self-taught as an artist.  I have designed and taught, mosaics, faux stained glass, watercolor and acrylics.

I always start with a simple project and work with the student/s to access skill level, interests and goals.

I prefer to work with adults.

As with anything, look at the artist work and see if it resonates with you.  If you see something you like and would like to recreate, just ask them.  If you feel like you could work with a particular artist, then make an appointment.

I recently lead a greeting card class using watercolors.  The students were so open and created such unique cards and gifts for their families. I felt to bless to have spent time with them.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Observe their work.  Talk to them about most anything, art in particular.  Listen with your heart and just take the plunge.  If you like the class, book another, if not check out a different artist.
