About
Hello, I have been crocheting over 30 years. Learning to crochet when I was 12 was one of the best things I ever learned as a child.
Crocheting is so versatile. You can make anything. Crocheted throws, amigurumi (stuffed animals), clothing and lace. You can also learn macrame and knitting from me to incorporate these skills into your crochet projects if you would like.
Since I am also a professional pet stylist, I am also designing some pet clothing.
Crocheting is therapeutic and relaxing. It also is a great exercise for your hands. The basic stitches are very easy. You can start with a simple project and evolve to more complex projects. Wherever your mind leads you it can be created with crochet. One of my favorite things to make is delicate flowers which can also be turned into jewelry. I crochet tiny bows for my tiny poodles.
I started teaching for friends who wanted to learn.
I have many years of hands on experience.

An initial consultation to determine your skill level and your goals. Why you would like to learn to crochet and your goals. What projects interest you. If you are new to crochet, we begin with the basics starting with tools, yarn types, hook sizes, chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet snd several other basic stitches. For macrame we start with the basic knots. For knitting we start with the basic stitches.
I have worked with beginner and advanced students.
Of course, if you are looking to hire a teacher. Look for someone who is experienced and artistic.
The most recent event in regards to crochet is that my brothers cute little eskimo dog appeared with my crochet project in his mouth and he had my yarn unraveled all over him and all over everything. Very thankful for stitch markers.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about what projects that you would like you make. At first, you will be able to complete simple projects like scarves, throws, dishcloths. Eventually you can crochet in the round and learn to make sphere shaped items and objects. Then eventually freeform which is your own creation. Look at photos of things that you would like to make. Think about where you want to take this skill. A hobby or perhaps a business.
