About Ezekiel
I am a Master’s student studying Quantum Information, with a bachelor's degree double majoring in Physics and Mathematics. I have been teaching mathematics since my own time in high school, from introductory subjects like pre-algebra and geometry to more detailed fields such as calculus. I’ve worked with students both in group sessions and one-on-one, and have taught ages ranging from 5 to 28.
My tutoring is tailored to the goals of the student. I have worked with students to improve their grades in a specific course, prepare for standardized tests, or simply learn more about a specific field they are passionate about. Math is a subject many students struggle with, often more than simply not understanding how to do a problem. Often this is due to the difficulty in mathematics’ way of thinking, and I work with students with the goal of not just gaining knowledge of the specific subject material, but also the skills in logic and critical thinking necessary to perform well in any math field. I create custom problem sets for each student designed to address their weaknesses in the subject and bolster the methods with which they approach math problems as a whole.
Mathematics and teaching are passions of mine, and I believe a good understanding of math, and more importantly mathematical thinking, is a great skill to have in life. Learning the mechanisms behind math can open up careers spanning the entire workforce, and gives a greater appreciation for the daily functions of our planet. I love helping others reach their goals, and explore one of the most beautiful and intricate fields of study in the world.
