About Jim

I help you get from now (not knowing) to then (knowing). You're the same person now as you will be, and it's a simple matter to move from now to then. Enjoy the ride!

I love seeing people realize things are not as hard as they thought. Sometimes it's a puzzle--for me--to figure out how to make it simple and clear to you. So I am learning right along with everyone I am helping!

I have 2 grown daughters, and they both say I always was very good at explaining things without making them feel stupid.

Master of Science from Carnegie Mellon University. Minor in engineering from Arizona State University.

A 3-semester sequence in Calculus at ACC in the last 10 years, as a refresher: all A's! I had gotten C's when I took calculus in high school and B's when I took it in college, so I know what it's like to struggle with math.

I got a perfect score on the math portion of my GRE. It helped that I had been tutoring a professor's high school daughter in geometry so the material was fresh in my mind and that was a lot of the GRE content. :)
