About Aliya
I'm a fourth year doctoral candidate in physics with seven years of tutoring experience. I've worked with students tutoring math, physics, and chemistry for both the AP and non-AP stream. I've tutored a range of grades from 8th grade to 12th grade. I will develop a personalized teaching strategy for each student based on areas they need to improve and their problem solving strengths.
As a scientist, I love math, physics and chemistry and I'm very passionate about the subjects. I know, from many years of teaching, that these subjects are often poorly taught and as a result students find them "boring" or "intimidating". I love working with students to show them that physics can be fun. The most rewarding part of teaching is watching students apply what they've learned to correctly solve problems.
