About Kim

The best part of tutoring is that I get to work at the level of my learner. I can teach skills that encourage growth, and challenge learners to do their best. Whether it is improving or learning to read at the early stages, reading comprehension, or note-taking and organization, I am able to help.

I typically respond within 24 hours or sooner Monday-Friday. I am available online during day and evening hours.

I taught in a classroom for over 15 years at the middle school level. I have two Master's degrees in education, as well as degrees in elementary and early childhood education. I have TESOL training for ESL learners, as well as LETRS training for direct reading instruction.

I am nationally certified to teach history and science to grades 6-9. I have judged the National History Day Project contest at the regional, state, and national levels.

Literacy lessons offered by Kim are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Gaffney. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
