Our lessons begin with a short consultation that explores the students particular goals for wanting to study the guitar. Every student gets a methodical and systematic approach that is tailored to them. We work hard but it’s important to have a fun time learning your instrument.
My studio has always been a blend of professional level guitarists, aspiring conservatory students, and very passionate amateur players.
Choosing a teacher is a very important part of the process. A teacher not only has to give you the correct information, by the way. That’s just the first layer. A real teacher is going to coach and motivate you everytime you feel like giving up practicing. They’re also going to understand how much life gets in the way of practicing and they’re going to give you methods for time efficiency.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
You need to make sure that the music you’re most passionate about is a passion that the teacher shares. If you’re musical style is far out of the wheel-house of the teacher expertise, the lessons will have a lot of friction. Talk this through with a teacher to avoid frustration.
