About Tanner
Welcome to Glass Golf Academy! My name is Tanner Glass and I have a passion for helping others improve their golf game. Whether you are new to the game or training to go on tour, I am here to help you play your best golf.
Who We Are:
“A small garage with a big name”
Yes I know that getting golf lessons in some dude’s garage isn’t for everyone, but I used the word “Academy” for a reason. One day we will expand into a larger facility, but for now this is what we have.
Technology:
We use a mevo+ launch monitor simulator with TGC 19 software and Flightscope software to obtain instant data parameters. We have a fiberbuilt putting area with 2 regulation cups. We have divot boards, impact tape, and lie boards to check lie angles. We also have a tripod to film swings for assessment.
About Me:
I am a Chiropractor and Kinesiologist training to become a PGA Professional. I use my unique background to help golfers find a solution to their swing that may have been overlooked by other instructors.
My Story:
My golf journey began as soon as I was old enough to hold a golf club. My dad owned a driving range in Alabaster, Alabama called “Greg’s Golf” and my grandpa used to cut down left handed clubs to fit me. I quickly became obsessed with the game and spent most of my childhood helping around at the range and talking with golfers and observing their swings. It was apparent to me at a young age that golf is hard and no 2 swings are the same.
The more I have studied golf over the years I have learned that every player has great potential in their own golf swing. It can be very harmful to try and tailor your swing to match the “traditional” swing or try to model your favorite tour pro.
Everyone is doing good things and bad things with their swing and the secret is to swing in a way that feels natural and comfortable to you, but make sure that it creates consistent results. Very small changes can go a long way.
My job is to help you grow your natural swing and create consistency that gives you the confidence to get out on the course and enjoy the game.
