About Clive

Teaching Pro and author of the best selling Hit Down Dammit! and Why You Suck at Golf

Everyone thinks golf is a difficult game, and it is. But not as difficult as made out. The vast majority of golfers struggle because they are actually trying to do something wrong. Believing it is right.

My strength is explaining the physics of the golf swing in a manner that both makes it understandable, and consequently easier to change the physical.

The two most common and impactful mistakes golfers make are 1. Poor grip and stance and 2. Not understanding the need to hit down at the golf ball.

No one “loves“ working on their grip and stance, a grip and stance together are the one thing in golf we can do perfectly. So why wouldn’t we? Why stand over the golf ball with a compromised grip and or stance, and then express surprise when the shot is anything but perfect?

Only with a good grip and stance can I, or any pro for that matter, begin to work on your swing. And that begins with an acute understanding of the physics of the swing, and how hitting down at the golf ball not only provides backspin and lift, but maximum clubhead speed as well.

I would love for you to reach out so we can discuss your golf swing, and how we can bring it to its potential, and I invite you to read some of my books... especially Hit Down Dammit, which also spawned a full video series on the matter.

Thanks for your time, Clive
