This is empowering as a writer because it strips away the mystique that comes along with written communication and enables you to achieve real progress in your professional and personal lives. I take my background in "skills" education seriously. As a lawyer and healthcare professional by training, I emphasize the value of teaching methodologies that progressively build excellence. In my current world as a healthcare administrator, there is no such thing as an isolated skill set. Although I build a tutoring plan unique to each student, most students should expect routine project-based work. It is important to me that you feel grounded in the writing that you do, and I design your plan to give you self-driven engagement.
Look for someone who is relationship-centered and listens to needs before proposing solutions. Your writing teacher must be an outstanding writer, but an even better listener.
