Dual-focused: students who work with me will learn how they learn (visual, auditory, etc) but also how to express themselves better as a result through enhanced development of their reading, writing, and oral communication skills.
I started teaching in the military when I learned how much satisfaction it was to see people have "ah ha!" moments when I shared something I knew with them. I was eventually assigned by a former commander to develop a curriculum to teach young enlisted personnel how to analyze a variety of data sources and synthesize it into digestable reports.
