About Joseph

I earned my Bachelors of Laws from King's College London, and my Masters of Corporate Laws from NYU.

I teach students to write neatly and efficiently. Disciplined structure, planning, and clear argumentation are keys to good writing, speech, and presentation. These skills will greatly benefit any young student in preparation for their eventual academic and professional careers.

I recently moved back to Orange County for corporate work, but I have always had a passion for teaching writing and debate. Prior to living in California, I was a coach/instructor of the King's College London Moot Court and Debate squads, as well as an Editor of the King's College London Think Tank Journal, and the NYU Law School Journal of Public Policy and Legislation. I have also won various writing competitions from high school through graduate school.

I will try and deliver, but writing, speech, and forensics is both a science and an art. In the course of establishing the basic and fundamental principles through which an individual may express thoughts, I hope to give students students an outlet for their creativity.

1. Have you mastered grammar and spelling to a high school level?

If not, this is not my area of expertise.

2. Are you scared when being assigned to write X number of paragraphs or pages? Just don't know how how to say or write what you are thinking?

What you lack is structure, and I can help. In my experience, one can easily turn a basic 1-page three topic outline into a full length Master's dissertation.

3. Have you hit a plateau in your writing level? Does the teacher or professor just advise you to, "write more essays, you'll get better over time?"

What is better? After all... Many teachers feel it is not within their jurisdiction to impede on your child's creativity by imposing their definition of 'good' upon them. However, for the sake of your child's academic and professional future, I firmly believe 'good' should mean clear and understandable. A well composed point need only be made once. I do not teach poetry and the excessive use of figures of speach.
