He always kept the topics fun, interesting, and intriguing, while being pretty interactive, which was a change for me when compared to a lot of my other classes. Valued actually teaching a lesson and educating rather than doing some assignment for a grade you’ll forget about the next day. Always had fun in the class and was a good way to end every day at school.

What I liked the most about having Mr. Evan’s as my teacher is that he’s not just a teacher, he’s a friend, someone you can actually have a genuine conversation with! I remember talking to him the first time one on one and I was surprised to find out how down to earth he was.
He’s someone who cares about you and someone who will keep you in check!
Every time I had missing work, he would ask me about it in a funny way and that encouraged me to actually do my work because I knew that it would make him proud!
He’s an amazing teacher but he’s an even more amazing person! Anyone would be lucky to have him as a teacher and even more so as a tutor!

Mr. Evans’ class was the highlight of the school day for me. The atmosphere he created made me feel equal parts motivated to learn and also relaxed enough to enjoy myself. His selection of topics was engaging and interesting, and I looked forward to what stories we’d get to look into in the future.

Mr. Evans genuinely made English and writing fun. He brings this energy that makes you intrigued and constantly engaged about a topic that could be so boring, but he’s the type of person that can make that topic fun and make you want to look more into it. He connects every topic together to the point where you look forward to going to English every day.

He was very uplifting as a teacher! He helped me improve my reading and writing tremendously.

All through high school English class had been one of my least favorite subjects, particularly due to the need to write. Being in Mr. Evans class had sparked a light in me that I’d never had through any English class I’ve taken. He gave the room to work on assignments and encouraged my artistic abilities to write. I ended up writing my own story for a major grade in the world of Star Wars and Mr. Evans had supported me the whole way and even helped me write through a spot in the story i was stuck on. Mr. Evans is a great teacher, both educationally and as a human, he connects with students well and maintains a good position between teaching and bonding with his students. Overall an amazing teacher, and an amazing person overall.

He was a super fun teacher and was quite relatable. He had realistic expectations for us and gave us the most help we could ask for.

He was very helpful and straight forward and gave you what you needed, the info you needed and the tools you needed. His teaching made learning easy and fun. Best teacher I’ve ever had. I wish I had a teacher like him for every class.

Mr Evan's class was always my favorite class to go to it was super fun and he always found a way to bring energy and fun ideas to the table even on units that where boring and he helped us find ways they connected to our lives.

I liked the flexibility with the assignments. I also really enjoyed the Friday life lessons because it was like introducing us to adulthood. The assignments weren’t hard but they still had us learn while not being too strict on due dates. Overall it was my favorite class my senior year.

He made the experience informational and enjoyable overall. He has a great sense of humor and a great teaching strategy, and works amazingly with any type of student. He was lenient and strict when he needed to be and is very knowledgeable overall a lot of topics and is great at his main job teaching English and writing. Highly recommend!!

The thing that I love about Mr. Evans is, he’s always willing to help out and make things as easy as possible for you. You can really tell that he genuinely likes to teach and that’s the type of teachers that we need these days. I’ve always been a big fan of English, but Mr. Evans blew it out of the box for me. If you tutor with him, I feel that not only will you understand it, but you’ll begin to enjoy it.

Mr Evan’s is an exceptional teacher, in his class i felt the upmost respect and his class was always an incredibly friendly environment for all students. The way Mr. Evan’s taught was great, he was reasonable with students which lead to better participation, he also somehow made subjects that aren’t the most interesting thing easier to learn. I wouldn’t mind getting taught by him again.

Throughout my experience with him as my teacher, not only did I grow to appreciate the depth and intricacies of literature and the use of it daily, but I also grew to love writing in a new way!

He helped me through numerous creative blockages and made both the writing process and literary analysis genuinely enjoyable!!!

He taught english and writing, but I ended up leaving his class with a whole lot more! I learned a lot about just being a genuinely good human being and a lot about how to grow as a person.

Overall, through my experience in his English/writing class, I can confidently say that he was one of my favorite teachers that I've had.

he was a breath of fresh air to have as a teacher in my senior year. he was very kind and never pushed anyone out of their comfort zone. he made his lessons interesting to listen to and gave a lot of freedom for creativity with assignments.

I had Mr. Evan's my senior year. He is VERY patient and VERY understanding. He teaches the information in a way that's engaging and interesting. As someone with a short attention spam, I never got bored of his lessons. One thing I appreciated about him is that he was constantly seeking ways to improve his teaching to make it more understandable. He asked us every week about things we liked, disliked, and wanted to see in the future, and he actually implemented it. Mr. Evan's is great 😁

I like how open he was with helping when you did not understand something on an assignment or question. He would talk to every student making sure they are not alone and felt left out. Everyday i looked forward to going to his classroom.

He was able to teach the required curriculum while also applying it practically to daily life. His assignments were creative. And he has a way to make topics you would normally find boring, to be engaging and fun.
