About Kelly
I have a Masters in English Literature and experience teaching essay writing, reading and fluency, literature, and fiction writing.
I write fiction and my novel was chosen for Tom Jenks's 2019 Master Class.
My favorite thing about teaching writing is the moment when the student realizes that writing does not have to be intimidating or difficult if properly taught. I tailor-make lessons for each individual to meet their learning needs.
I am a novel writer and my children wanted to write with me. After teaching them how to write stories, their friends began to ask for help as well. Teachers soon chimes in and I began to give Writing Workshops both at our Elementary School and Junior High.
I love sharing my creative journey with others and helping them learn that writing can be fun!
M.A in English Literature, thirteen years in the writing industry, and five years of teaching Creative Writing, reading, and fluency.

My favorite Writing class was my first one with my daughter's fourth grade class. The students all knew me as her mother; but when I came in as a writer and talked about the process of writing a novel, it was like I had a secret identity. They were so excited to get to do a project where they made all the rules! We came up with some pretty awesome stories that day and continued that class every year until they graduated High School.
