About Ryan
Hello! If you are seeking support learning English or Spanish, preparing for a related exam, want to hone essay-writing skills, or are seeking a structured space in which to write creatively, I am happy to be of help. I have over two years of experience tutoring, through programs in my college-town in the Bay Area and in college proper. As an undergraduate, I studied critical theory and English and Spanish literatures, and graduated with honors; I plan to pursue my PhD eventually, but am currently working to practice & hone my own writing in wonderful New York. Over the years, I've gained exposure to various pedagogical writing and language acquisition model, and have come to truly love working with others in the language arts in many capacities. I have four years of former training in literary critique and studies at the university level, and have been studying Spanish language and literature since elementary school. I also have over two years of formal tutoring experience, at Bay Area nonprofits and at UC Berkeley.
