About Sara

I earned a master's degree in Education from UCLA and a B.A. in English from USC, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude and with departmental honors. For the past three years, I've worked full-time as an English teacher to 9th and 10th grade students. I've completed AP Language training and received distinction as a Master Teacher based on my students' academic growth and observations of my teaching.

Additionally, I've been tutoring for the past 7 years. I've provided SAT tutoring, college essay writing support, and academic support for students in high school English courses. Students I've tutored have gone on to attend USC and Dartmouth.

I love working with students to recognize the strengths in their writing and build upon them so that students have a strong, personal voice that comes through whether they're writing essays for class or college admissions. Additionally, I enjoy helping students understand how to include their own perspectives and insights to improve the originality and impact of their textual and global analysis.
