About Ron
I'm a professional in Information Technology for over 30 years. My specialty is PL/SQL/Oracle and have years experience in SQL using various relational databases in my past careers.
I majored in Computer Science specializing in database design. I started my career working in a consulting firm with focus in database design and database programming (SQL/Sybase). I have also worked at DreamWorks SKG as a Powerbuilder/Oracle developer and now am working at Sony Pictures Entertainment heavily doing Oracle PL/SQL development.
I have many years experience in database programming and design. SQL, PL/SQL are both my strengths.
I have tutored in the past but mostly as a hobby to help friends/students. All have gotten A's on their projects.

I typically ask all potential students to provide example of problem they're trying to resolve (college assignment/project or particular work problem). I can then better assess if I'm a good fit or not. If the project/assignment deals with designing a database (i.e., datamodel/ERD), then I go ahead and model it prior to the session. I will then walk the student through that ERD identifying each entity and relationship. I also do some prep work prior to the session so discovery is done beforehand and not during the session to save student time.
