Team player

I ve always taught the game from Basketball Camp as a student athlete at Indiana University to my professional career in Mexico.   I was given the opportunity to coach the team that I played for and thru that I gained the attention of my fellow teammates as well as the owner of the team.  I took over the team with a losing record, we finish the season in second place of the league.  After finishing the professional season I was asked to coach the selection of Manzanilllo which would be 12 kids at the age of 9 whom I coached for 8 years won 8 state titles (never done before in this city).  I than started my Basketball program in Manzanilllo in which I taught to the general public as well as the Selection team.

I am an ex professional basketball player who played for Indiana University 95-00.  I played professional basketball in China, North Korea, Germany, Spain, Argentina, Boliva, and Mexico.  In Mexico I played as player/Coach for Los pepas de Yucatan and for Los tribunes de Manzanilllo.   In Manzanilllo I was head coach of the selection of Manzanilllo which was a selection of 12 kids whom s tr rated with me at 9 years old till 17 years of age.  In that time we won 8 state titles in a row and went to the 8 reginals in a row.  I have played and coached on all levels that you can imagine.  Basketball is my life and I enjoy helping any future Baller take the game to a higher level than I did if that is the desire, I also love to help anyone who just wants to play for fun.  The game of basketball brings people and cultures together it's the best gift to have and to give to anyone who wants to play 🏀❤🏀  I love the work, but I love to watch my students go on to be successful players.......

First thing we do is have the kids play 1 on 1 or 3 on 3 I like to see the current skill level of each individual.   Second step is to sot down and ask the player what they think their strengths are as well as what part of their game they think they need to improve.  Third step is setting up workouts that specifically strengthens there weaknesses.

I have worked with students that range from the age of 5 to 40.  I have taught the game of basketball on all age levels and genders.  The majority of my students who were serious about the game are in college in mexico or in the pro league in Mexico

I would suggest to the young player that their future is in the hands of whomever they call coach.  Be sure that that person is truly engaged in your progress and success as a player and not just a person intrested in money.....  Its heartbreaking to me to see a young player wanting to be good and a coach whom does not care or just looks at it like it's a job

I am fond of the accomplishments of my players.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They have to be honest with themselves,  look I. The mirror and ask themselves how good they want to be.  How bad do you want this?  Do you want to play for fun or are your desires to play in NBA or Overseas.   Most importantly how hard are you going to work learning the game of basketball.   Student athlete means you are two in 1 months most important question is if you are in school can you balance your studies and basketball?
