About Elle
I am a lifelong learner, artist, and Art educator with 34 years of teaching experience. I have a BFA in Art Education and a Master’s in Metals and Jewelry from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). My background spans traditional and contemporary craft practices, focusing on jewelry design, leatherworking, mixed media, and surface treatment techniques.
As a tutor, I offer personalized, process-oriented guidance in various studio practices, including sculpture, mixed media, metalsmithing, and portfolio development. My sessions are designed to build technical skill, creative confidence, and a deeper understanding of material-based artmaking. Whether you're a beginner, hobbyist, or preparing for advanced art study, or creating an AP 3D portfolio, I meet artists where they are and help them grow.
I create small leather goods and distinctive jewelry pieces at Studio 5 Bee, which combine craftsmanship with original patterns and surface designs. The artistic lens I bring into my teaching helps others discover their own voice through making.
