About Christina

I am arty and like to incorporate games and play into learning. I work with children with anxieties around certain subjects and take slow and relaxed approach to our first sessions. I think it is important to get to know children and make a connection as part of tutoring.

In my own time I like to make macrame art, hoola hoop, do yoga and make jewelry.

My sessions usually start with a short chat and catch up, an ice breaker game with toys or markers and a whiteboard focussed on learning, learning input, I do, we do, you do approach, speaking and listening activities, independent work, marking, assisted self marking and challenges set at different levels. Children can choose their own challenges to build confidence. I always ask to see what the children have been learning at school to plan in time with the curriculum.
