About Kunle
Chess coaching is the intersection of two of my biggest passions: teaching and chess. I've been teaching students over the past 5 years across math, chemistry, psychology, and chess. It brings me so much joy to work alongside an eager learner and help them achieve their goals. Chess has been a passion of mine since I started playing with friends at 9 years old, and it's been a wonderful journey for me to go from playing casually to playing in high-pressure tournaments. I'm so excited to help fellow chess players grow while continuing to love the game.

I know all too well how vast the world of chess is and how daunting it is to try and get better. As a chess coach, I feel that it is my job to make the process of improving as direct as possible. Instead of putting you on a predetermined regimen, I will listen to your chess struggles and need and look at your actual games to develop a personalized plan. I will provide detailed annotations and analysis on games presented, and provide practical advice on what to focus on and what training activities to do in order to improve on your weakest areas. Within a year of tournament play, I raised my rating from 1386 to over 1900 USCF, so I am confident that I can help anyone make improvements in their game.
