Coding is about problem-solving. The focus should be on understanding the problem domain rather than programming language syntax. One cannot solve a problem if one doesn't understand the underlined data.
I teach how to code step-by-step, based on a computational thinking approach. In this approach, the problem is broken into manageable chunks and analyzed for patterns before any code is written to solve it. This approach is aligned with the well-known divide and conquer ideology.
This method assumes a program is written for data. Clearing, data go into a code, and the information (the solution) goes out.
Most importantly, we will focus on data. How to store it in memory using variables, how to organize it with data structures, and how to process it with some algorithm to get the desired output.
In conclusion, my approach makes the coding process practical, easy, and intuitive. Most importantly, it is geared toward all learners, regardless of their level.
