About Maz
Hello! I’m Maziar, a dedicated Setar and Tar player and instructor with over 20 years of experience in Iranian classical music. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of studying with some of Iran’s most respected masters, including Behdad Babaei, Daryoush Talaei, and Masoud Shoari. This deep training has shaped my understanding and mastery of the art, which I am passionate about sharing with my students. I have taught at conservatories, universities, and privately, working with students of all ages and skill levels. My teaching style is patient, personalized, and rooted in tradition, yet open to creativity and individual expression. I believe learning music should be inspiring and fulfilling, and I strive to create a supportive environment where every student feels confident to grow.
