I have had the distinct pleasure of knowing Kathryn Ransom for approximately 25 years 
as both a co-worker and a friend. I have known her to be compassionate and highly 
professional. She is highly respected by other nurses we have worked with and conducts herself with 
high moral character and integrity. Kathryn has many positive qualities.
Her guiding moral compass dictates her direction. She is considered to be trustworthy, 
honest and extremely caring. I have enjoyed many conversations with Kat as she is 
affectionately known, and am always impressed with her ability to communicate in a 
clear and concise manner. Kat clearly cares about others and she treats others as she 
would like to be treated. I have no hesitation in recommending Kathryn Ransom.
As a fellow Nurse and former co-worker, I have had the distinct advantage to observe Kat's work up close. Kat is a dedicated professional who knows her job well. She is 
conscientious and observant. She has excellent computer skills and she has helped me 
with my own computer problems several times. In nursing, she excels. 
Kat has several qualities that will ensure she will be successful/ She was extremely 
close to a perfect 4.0 average in her Master's in Nursing program. Kat is a very 
motivated individual and perseveres until she reaches her goals. She was considered a 
leader among her fellow nurses in our employ. She also has a great sense of humor and 
is very well liked by her co-workers and managers and she is considered a competent

I am privileged to write a letter of recommendation on behalf of my friend and cohort, Kathryn Ransom. Kathryn completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2008 during which time I was able to witness tremendous growth and development as a professional nurse leader. This development included leadership and character as well as nursing subject knowledge. She additionally attained a specialization in Adult Learning Principles.
Kathryn entered her teaching career informally and it has remained so until now. I have been amazed at the energy and enthusiasm she exhibited towards tutoring her first nursing student. She tutored her first Nursing student in Maternal Child Nursing, which is part of the RN-BSN program at our local university, and one that is fraught with multiple assignments and discussion in a one semester course. Kathryn was adept at developing an individualized lesson plan that required further exploration into Maternal Child nursing and engaged the tutored student in critical thinking.
Kathryn is known to possess a strong work ethic, persistence, and intellectual integrity that is required as a nurse educator/ tutor. She is a very reliable medical professional who knows her job very well and treats each and every person with respect. Additionally, she is genuinely interested in helping others and is compassionate, patient and kind.
