About Ashleigh
I am Ashleigh and I have several years experience as a primary school teacher in the UK. I now no longer teach but still work with primary, middle and secondary schools across the country, including academies doing consultation work.
I find that pupils I have taught and privately tutored previously feel at ease, learning with my approach. I find out about the child to see what their interests are so that I can include interests in tasks, questions and general learning where possible.

Sometimes it takes a little extra support to feel confident with different skills and understanding. I am very professional and patient in my approach. I have lots of experience teaching children from 5-11 years old and older in some subjects. I have taken several cohorts through the UK SATS and prepared some children for the 11+ testing. I am friendly and make learning easygoing for children so they enjoy those areas they find harder.
* Please be aware that from the planned start time of the session, I will wait 10 minutes to begin but if you are later than this with no communication then the session will not go ahead and you will still be charged. A few mins in I will send a reminder message/check in with you.
As noted on my tutor profile, I tutor online only and use the Superprof video call to tutor.
For small groups of children there will be an additional charge but please chat to me if this is something you might need.
** As of 1st March, my price will be changing to £33 per hour. I have seen an increase in cost for my resources and this is still a competitive compared to other tutors with my level of qualifications and experience.

Perfect! Ashleigh has been helping my 6 year old son for sometime now with his reading and writing. Her patience and ability to engage him are outstanding. She consistently tailors her teaching methods to match his needs and interests, which has helped spark his enthusiasm for learning.
- Felix is a lovely child with real enthusiasm. He sometimes gets distracted during lessons but gets back on track with gentle reminders. Felix is great at asking for help, trying his best and staying engaged in different tasks within the session. Felix is progressing with his reading and writing with each session.Ashleigh's response :
