About Ryan
Hi, I’m Ryan — an experienced primary school teacher with 8 years of experience working with children across Key Stage 2.
Teaching has always been about more than delivering lessons for me. It’s about getting to know the child behind the learner, understanding what makes them tick and helping them realise what they are capable of.
Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of primary settings and held leadership responsibilities including Key Stage 2 Lead and Maths Lead. I have also worked in a specialist independent school supporting pupils with autism and social, emotional and mental health needs, giving me extensive experience adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
I have consistently achieved above-national-average KS2 outcomes, but I believe success isn’t measured solely by a test score.
Seeing a child who once said “I can’t do this” begin to say “I’ll have a go” is just as important.
That is why confidence is at the heart of my tutoring.
I want children to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and challenging themselves. My lessons are personalised to each child, combining my classroom experience with their individual interests, strengths and areas for development.
Outside of tutoring, I’m still working as a primary school teacher, so my knowledge of the curriculum is current and grounded in day-to-day classroom experience.
My aim is simple: to help children become more confident, more independent and more successful learners — while making learning something they can genuinely enjoy.

Every child learns differently, which is why I don’t believe tutoring should follow a one-size-fits-all approach.
My lessons are carefully personalised around your child’s current ability, confidence, interests and individual learning needs.
Before focusing on what your child needs to learn, I take time to understand how they learn best. From there, I can adapt the pace, activities, explanations and level of challenge to make sure every session is purposeful.
Whether your child needs to close a gap, consolidate their learning, prepare for SATs or simply become more confident, lessons are designed specifically for them.
As an experienced primary school teacher, I can draw on 8 years of classroom experience, including Key Stage 2 leadership, Maths leadership and working in a specialist independent school supporting pupils with autism and SEMH needs.
That experience allows me to look beyond simply getting the right answer. I want children to understand why they are right, develop strategies they can use independently and, most importantly, believe that they can succeed.
What you can expect:
Personalised lessons based on your child’s needs
Clear learning goals and targeted support
Different teaching approaches to suit how your child learns
Activities designed to build confidence as well as knowledge
Regularly adapted lessons based on progress
Friendly, engaging sessions in the comfort of your own home
£35 for a personalised lesson.
Because tutoring shouldn’t just be about helping your child keep up — it’s about helping them move forward with confidence.
