About Asma
Hello! My name is Asma, and I am a Psychology student at the University of Sheffield with a passion for education and helping students reach their full potential.
I have experience tutoring Maths and English through Explore Learning, where I support both primary and secondary students with personalised online lessons. I have also volunteered as a Reading Mentor with Coram Beanstalk, working one-to-one with primary school children to improve their reading skills, confidence and enjoyment of learning.
Academically, I achieved strong GCSE and A-Level results, including Grade 9 in English Language, Grade 8 in English Literature, Grade 7 in Mathematics and Chemistry, A grades in A-Level English Literature and Government & Politics, a B in Psychology, and an A in my Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). As a current university student, I understand the challenges students face and the study techniques needed to succeed in today's curriculum.
I pride myself on being patient, approachable and encouraging. Every student learns differently, so I aim to create a positive and supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence and achieving their academic goals. My aim is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident expressing their ideas and developing their skills.
