About Tamara

I bring six years of hands-on teaching experience to every lesson, with a relaxed yet professional approach tailored to your individual goals and pace. This includes four years teaching Creative Arts, Life Orientation, and Design at a high school level, followed by two and a half years in Germany, delivering English and Arts-focused projects with a Berlin-based institution across the country — working with learners of varying ages and levels, from Grade 5 through to matric and adults

My lessons are friendly and interactive, focused on real conversation and practical application, adjusting as we go to make sure it's genuinely useful for you. They are best suited to intermediate learners and above, since I don't rely on translation to teach — so a solid foundation will help you get the most out of our sessions together!

I have experience in the following:
- Business English
- Exam preparation
- Conversational English
- English reading and writing
- Pronunciation lessons
- Public speaking and Debate
- English Literature lessons

Questions I ask in or before the first session:
- What level are you at?
- What is your goal with my classes?
- Is there anything specific you want to focus on?
- How often do you want to have classes?

I will also ask you to listen to a recording and read a short text to see what level you are at. I will use that info to create your personal lesson plan.
