About Stacey
I have taught briefly at the high school level while I was working on my teaching certification. Over the past five years I have taught mainly at the university both here in the U.S. and in France. I also give private lessons on the side. I've lost count of how many students I've taught total though it's probably getting close to 1,000 by now. My students have achieved better proficiency in grammar, vocabulary, culture, and conversation through my lessons.

Bonjour! Je suis Stacey!
I have a B.A. in French and a M.A. in Romance Languages: French from Texas Tech University, a M.A. French Linguistics from Purdue University, and completed 18 hours of coursework towards a PhD in French Linguistics at Purdue University. However, I decided to move to Nashville and take a break from grad school. In addition to this, I have a Texas teaching certification to teach EC-12 French in public high schools in Texas.
I have the most experience using the communicative method in teaching French at the college level. I like to make learning French useful, enjoyable, and interesting. I try to create a comfortable environment for learning language as a big part of language learning involves making mistakes.

Details
I do add a $10 fee to lessons which require travel in order to cover roundtrip gas. If students are interested in buying multiple hours at once, I have a reduced rate of $28 an hour for 5 hours, and $25 an hour for 10 hours.
