My tutoring approach is student-centered, supportive, and rooted in over a decade of classroom experience. A typical lesson includes a quick review of previous concepts, a focused mini-lesson on a specific skill (e.g., organizing a paragraph, decoding strategies, or grammar), followed by guided practice and independent application. I incorporate games, visuals, writing prompts, and real-world texts to keep learning meaningful and enjoyable.
What sets me apart is my dual background in both classroom teaching and one-on-one instruction, as well as my Diploma in Language and Literacy. I bring deep expertise in teaching writing and literacy at the and a calm, patient presence that helps students feel comfortable taking risks and making progress.
