About Mary
It is my pleasure to get to know many lively, diverse personalities in the course of doing what I love. I am famliar with many types of learners, and relish the variety of experiences that comes with engaging every student, from the intense overachiever to the reluctant learner. As a professional educator of nearly two decades, I honor the boundaries between student and teacher while also fostering a sincere, personal connection with my pupils. I like to work students' interests into our lessons in order to increase engagement and help to make learning fell less like work.

Regardless of your age, I want to help you experience the confidence that comes with having a good command of grammar and writing. My background in Creative Writing and my 16 years of experience teaching high school English can all come into play for great lessons.
