I’m a qualified English Lecturer based in Macclesfield, with a PGCE, QTS, and over a decade of experience supporting learners from KS3 to KS5, as well as adults working towards Functional Skills qualifications. As a qualified English Lecturer with a PGCE and QTS, I offer personalised tutoring in English Language, Literature, and Functional Skills for learners from KS3 to KS5, as well as adult learners working towards Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, though I offer shorter or extended sessions depending on individual needs. I incorporate a mix of: - Active questioning and discussion - Scaffolded tasks and modelled examples - Confidence-building strategies - Clear feedback and reflection time With experience teaching in both mainstream and alternative settings, I’m skilled at supporting learners with SEN, anxiety, or gaps in education. I also bring safeguarding expertise and a background in advocacy, which helps me connect with students who may need a little extra reassurance or flexibility.
