About Mark
I am a 40-year-old teacher from the United States with a decade of experience teaching abroad in mainland China and within the US. I completed my most recent contract in China in 2025, and in my most recent role, I taught at a well-reputed elite boarding school in Tianjin, China teaching Australian ACARA curriculum in order to prepare students to obtain an ATAR. I believe that opening doors to new and greater opportunities is the most important responsibility for a teacher, and I will work closely and often with you to help you lean into your strengths and improve upon any weaknesses you might have as a language learner. I am patient, empathetic, reliable, and available. I will always go above and beyond our class meetings. After I make the commitment to helping you improve, I will put in as many hours as necessary both in and outside our scheduled times together to ensure you meet your goals. First 30-minute lesson is free. After that, I will charge $25 per 45-minute lesson or $15 per 25-minute lesson. Start/Stop times can be flexible, and I will be willing to work with you an additional 10 minutes per lesson if necessary.
