About Helen
I am an English teacher of over 30 years of experience and have taught students of all ages in class, in small groups and privately. I am qualified to teach English, English literature and English as a Second Language as well as Mathematics and French, and am registered as a professional teacher with Victorian Institute of Teaching.
I specialise in literature and essay writing techniques, language skills and preparing students for scholarship applications and entry exams for selective schools.
I have taught many people for whom English is their second language, both new to Australia and those who have lived here for many years and want to improve their speaking or writing skills.
I am a warm-hearted and friendly person, and I always enjoy being with my students.
