About Zoe
I developed a passion for Excel through years of working with data-driven tasks and realising its potential to optimise workflows, improve accuracy, and enhance decision-making. This inspired me to pursue a B.Sc in Information Systems and an M.Sc in Data Analytics, where I gained both foundational knowledge and advanced data management skills. Over the last 7 years, I have helped learners develop competence and confidence in Excel, supporting both beginners and advanced students in achieving practical mastery.
My teaching style emphasises hands-on learning, applied exercises, and contextual examples. I encourage students to experiment, ask questions, and apply what they learn to real-world situations, while providing structured guidance tailored to individual learning styles. This approach ensures learners build both technical skill and confidence.
Beyond teaching, I continue to explore data analysis trends, spreadsheet automation, and emerging tools in business analytics. Beginners focus on data entry, simple formulae, formatting, and basic chart creation. Intermediate learners advance to pivot tables, advanced formulae, data validation, scenario analysis, and visualisation. Advanced learners explore macros, dashboards, complex formulae, data modelling, and integration with external data sources. Each session includes applied exercises, problem-solving strategies, and stepwise guidance to reinforce understanding and skill acquisition.
Excel mastery strengthens structured thinking, logical reasoning, and data interpretation skills. Learners gain the ability to approach tasks efficiently, analyse information critically, and present insights effectively.
