About Natalie

I graduated from Tulane Medical School and am currently both a pediatrics resident and tutor! I have tutored math since high school, most recently in the Quantitative Reasoning Center at Colorado College and for college prep with students in NOLA when I moved for medical school! The most exciting thing about learning to me is getting to share my knowledge with others, so I really love to teach and step away from every teaching session with a new way to approach problems or concepts from catering a lesson to the specific learner :)

About the class

I like to use a learn one, do one, teach one model with math!I will have students either come with work from school or create my own lessons based off of topics of concern for the students. I will then have the students explain to me what they know and teach from there. After we complete a few questions together, I will have them work through one out loud, and then pretend like I am the student that needs each step and possible point of confusion explained. I am a big advocate of active learning and the growth mindset :)
