About Jenna
In August 2020, I graduated University College London with a First Class degree in English. I have loved reading and the study of literature ever since I was first able to read, and engaging with literature of all kinds has been the true passion of my life. I have succeeded in every step of my English education, receiving A*s in my English Literature and Language GCSEs, an A in my English Lit/Lang-combined AS-Level, an A* in my English A-Level, and finally a First in my degree course.
I was an English Prefect during my two years at sixth form, and my role included tutoring sessions with GCSE-Level students. Since coming to university, I have not engaged in any tutoring but feel even more ready to get back in the swing of things after gaining so much extra knowledge.

As an English tutor, I'd be willing to support students at every level, and encourage them to thrive with structured advice and teaching. I would like the classes to be primarily student-led, so that we can methodically work through problem areas and gaps in knowledge. I am adaptable to however a student works best.
I am able to offer teaching on spelling, punctuation, and grammar; sentence structure; reading; reading and unpacking a literary text; poetry analysis; questions of genre, style, and form; structuring and planning essays; and, writing essays.
