Enthusiastic and easy-going English tutor based in Edinburgh - National 3/4/5, Higher, Advanced Higher

Simon has been tutoring my child now for several months and he has been great. At the beginning he took the time to understand my child and what approach worked best for tutoring them. My child didn't like the more structured approach that some of the more national organisations adopted, and really likes the flexibility that Simon offers e.g. the flexibility to focus on the areas where they need to work on, whilst still ensuring everything is covered. Simon is very encouraging of my child and goes above and beyond, and it is because of all this that I would recommend him as a English tutor.

Simon is a very organised and easygoing tutor who helped my daughter very much in preparing for her English exam. Simon immediately put my daughter at ease. He planned exercises each week for my daughter to work on and discussed helpful strategies and tips on how to achieve maximise points for exam questions. I have no hesitation in recommending Simon as a tutor.

Simon has tutored my 15 year old son in English for almost a year.
He was always punctual, well prepared and pleasant for my son to work with. He has developed a good rapport with my son and is an inspiring teacher.

Simon gave my daughter weekly tuition prior to her Nat 5 exams. He came to the house and was very pleasant with a relaxed manner which really set my daughter at ease. He had a plan that he worked through with her but amended it as needed. He was well prepared for each session and set homework which he would go over with her. His 1-1 support gave my daughter confidence prior to the exam and ensured she was well prepared.
I would recommend Simon as a tutor.
