About Yvonne
Hi! My name is Yvonne, and I’m passionate about languages and helping others feel confident when learning English.
I have always studied languages and developed a strong interest in how they work and how people communicate. I hold an OIB (Option Internationale du Baccalauréat) Cambridge University certificate, and I am fluent in English at a level comparable to a native speaker.
My passion for languages has continued into university, where I am currently studying Linguistics at Université Laval. This background gives me a deeper understanding of language, pronunciation, grammar, and communication. It also allows me to help students who would like to improve their accent and pronunciation, in addition to their general English skills.
As a tutor, I am patient, attentive, and adaptable. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and progressing at their own pace. My goal as an English tutor is to make learning English feel practical, engaging, and adapted to each student’s needs. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to the student’s level, goals, and learning style.
