About Elsie
I am a certified Alberta teacher with a BEd in Secondary Education. My expertise includes English and Social Studies instruction for all levels in junior high, and both -1 and -2 for high school levels 10, 20, and 30. My approach centers around the student, so any method I use is communicated to the student and is always open to adjustment. My experience is specific to the Alberta curriculum, but I consider writing and comprehension skills to be universal, so I am happy to help any students across Canada who would like to improve their skills.

- For secondary students who simply want to improve their language and literature skills, I offer mixed instruction in reading comprehension, writing, and basic grammar and diction
- Lesson structure will vary based on individual needs, but I typically include spontaneous reading and conversational comprehension practice for all students. This encourages consistency and development of reading skills and allows the student opportunity to see their own progress.
